Long-Term CareWorks’ new accelerated nursing assistant (NA) training program is designed to give you the training and support you need to thrive in your long-term care career. Our Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) approved curriculum is a guided learning experience that will support your goals and interests as you pursue NA certification and future healthcare careers.

Our NA training program provides: 

Paid Stipend 

While you work through training, we’ll provide you with a weekly stipend so you can spend your time focusing on your education.  

State-Approved Instruction 

Get the instruction you need with 65 hours of coursework and hands-on lab work. 

Wraparound Services 

Stay focused on learning with added support from our partners. Wraparound support includes childcare cost assistance, travel assistance, and access to quality healthcare once you have your NA license and are working at a participating facility.  

State-Required Clinical Hours 

Learn the ropes with 40 hours of guided, on-the-job experience that will teach you how to safely care for others. 

Career Mentorship 

Create the career path that’s right for you with regular 1-on-1 mentorship from our career coaches. 

OSBN Licensing Exam 

We will prepare you for the Oregon State Board of Nursing licensing exam, pay the exam fees, and help you schedule your exam. 

During the program you are eligible for: 

  • Paid exam and fingerprinting fees (over $150 value) 
  • CPR certification 
  • $80 shoe stipend for slip-resistant shoes 
  • $80 scrubs reimbursement 

We’re with you every step of the way

After you get your new nursing assistant (NA) license, our career coaches will help you find job opportunities with union-backed facility partners. While we can’t guarantee job placement, our team will help you build your resume, sharpen your interview skills, and connect you with facilities looking to hire NAs. We work with employers representing over 40 long-term care facilities across Oregon to help you find safe, reliable work as an NA.

Minimum requirements to participate in our program

 

Learners in our program must meet the following minimum requirements to qualify and move on to the initial stage of the interview process. 

  • Be at least 18 years old. 
  • Be able to pass a background check. 
  • Be able to perform the basic duties of a nursing assistant (NA).
